Please join us at the BARC Clubhouse for the May Operating Afternoon next Sunday, May 7, at 2:00 pm. In keeping with our theme this month of Antennas, we will be touring the BARC rooftop antenna setup and discussing the type and purpose of each antenna. We have a moovie so you don’t have to actually climb onto the rooftop (unless you want to!).
Then we will look at various types of coaxial cable and how to choose coax for your antenna system. Finally, we will identify several types of coax connectors and look at how to attach connectors to coax for a typical amateur radio antenna system using a crimp/solder technique.
