One of the largest amateur radio clubs in Greater Cincinnati, serving hams across the Ohio-Kentucky-Indiana tri-state region. Active in public service, licensing education, and on-air activities throughout the year.
Serving the eastern suburbs of Cincinnati, Milford ARC hosts monthly meetings and manages a broad network of both digital and analog repeaters across the region. Active in ARES, public service events, and licensing support.
Focused on public service and emergency communications for Hamilton County. Meets on the third Tuesday of every month and hosts weekly Winlink training nets to keep members current on digital EmComm procedures.

Home of Hamvention — the world's largest annual amateur radio gathering
One of the most well-known clubs in the country — and the organization behind Hamvention. Located at the Greene County Expo Center in Xenia, DARA holds regular membership meetings and offers licensing classes throughout the year.
Hosts regular nets and serves the Warren County region with public service and emergency communication support. Active in county-level EmComm coordination alongside ARES affiliates.
Founded in 1962 at Mound Park in Miamisburg, MARA operates three repeaters including a DMR machine, hosts a weekly Monday night net, supports community events, and provides backup EmComm for two local hospitals.
GCARES & MoCoARES
Greene County and Montgomery County ARES — our closest EmComm neighbors
GCARES is BARC's primary ARES affiliation. As a Greene County club, BARC members are encouraged to register with GCARES for emergency communications training and deployment. GCARES coordinates with county EMA and supports large public service events throughout Greene County.
MoCoARES provides emergency and public service communications for Montgomery County. They work closely with Montgomery County EMA and have coordinated with BARC on cross-county exercises. Their AllStar and Wires-X linking infrastructure connects the region's repeaters into a unified EmComm network.
