Field Day 2026

Dear BARC Members,

I hope this message finds everyone doing well and enjoying some cool but nice spring weather.

It’s that time again — we’re starting planning for Field Day 2026, which will take place on June 27–28, 2026. Field Day is always one of the highlights of our year: great operating, good food, fellowship, and a chance to show the public what amateur radio is all about.

To make this year’s event a success, we’re looking for volunteers in two categories:

1. Field Day Committee Members We need people willing to take on (or help with) specific roles such as:

  • Antenna Setup & Tear-Down
  • Station Power & Electrical Setup
  • Site Managers / Operations
  • Safety Officers
  • Equipment Transportation & Logistics
  • Food & Picnic Coordinator
  • Publicity / Educational Display / Social Media
  • Logging & Station Setup
  • And other committee positions

2. General Help Volunteers Even if you don’t want a formal coordinator role, we’d love your help with setup on Saturday morning, operating during the event, tear-down on Sunday, or just pitching in wherever needed. Every pair of hands makes a big difference!

If you’re interested in helping in any way — whether it’s taking on a leadership role or just volunteering a few hours — please reply to this email or contact me directly. Let me know what you’d like to help with and any preferences you have (setup, operating, food, safety, etc.).

The first Field Day planning meeting will be held on Wednesday, April 15th at 7:00 pm in the meeting room. We’d love to see you there!

Field Day is always more fun when more members get involved. Your participation helps us put on a great event and keeps our club strong.

Thank you in advance for your support. Feel free to reach out with any questions.
