ARRL’s contest for newly licensed operators (3 years or less) is coming up on April 10th. This is an excellent opportunity for new hams to get on the air and practice your skills, and learn some new ones. Many of the operators you will contact are also new hams, so it is a slower paced contest and no one expects you to know what you are doing. Non-rookie operators are encourage to participate either at home or at BARC and make contacts with rookies. Be sure to listen for BARC rookies on the air and say hello!
