Little Miami River Cleanup

I hope you are enjoying this beautiful spring weather. This year the Little Miami River Network is holding their Clean Up day of the Little Miami River on Saturday, June 11. The event activities begin at 8:30 am and end about 1:00 pm. An Appreciation Picnic for the volunteers begins shortly after the end of cleanup. An article describing the event is in the May issue of The Full Quieting Newsletter.

For a successful operation, I need 15 – 17 volunteers. I haven’t received the designated post along the river yet but based on previous events, we will need 1-2 operators for net control at Bellbrock Park in Bellbrook and 7-10 operators for designated posts at the launch sites along the river. The clean -up begins as far north as John Bryan State Park in Yellow Springs and proceeds south to Corwin in Warren County.

As the event draws near, I’ll be posting more information including site launch locations, post assignments, a frequency plan, and LMRN committee members you’ll be working with.

To volunteer for this event, please send me an email at I look forward to hearing from you.
