The Bellbrook Amateur Radio Club 2 meter repeater is currently set for 147.045 MHz (+ offset) with no tone. Likewise, the 440 repeater is set for 443.675 MHz (+ offset) with no tone. Beginning July 1, 2023, both repeaters will be adding a 118.8 Hz CTCSS tone requirement to access the repeater. All users must update the programming on their radios to add the tone encode and decode.
The Planning Committee decided to add the tone requirement to avoid interference from other repeaters near the BARC frequency, especially when propagation is good and distant repeaters can easily disrupt the BARC repeater operation. Be sure to update your programming or ask a BARC member to do it at the next Membership Meeting or Operating Afternoon.
