Help Us Make It Happen!
Dear BARC Members,
We’re thrilled to announce that our move to the new clubhouse is officially underway!
As of today, July 25, the old BARC clubhouse is closed, and preparations are ramping up fast for our relocation to the new space. It’s an exciting time, and we want to keep you in the loop — and get you involved!
What’s Already Been Accomplished
Our relocation team has been hard at work behind the scenes. Here are some key milestones we’ve already knocked out:
Received written permission from the school to move forward with key upgrades using qualified contractors, including:
- Carpet installation
- Roofing access for antenna cabling
- Electrical sub-panel installation
- Internet service installation
Painted the new space to freshen things up
Installed new LED lighting with small fans for better airflow
Learned the process for scheduling the new meeting rooms
Move day is set for Saturday, September 6, 2025!
What’s In Progress
There’s a lot happening right now, and momentum is building:
Carpet has been ordered and should be installed by the end of August
We’re finalizing plans with the school’s roofing contractor to install coax access via the roof
We’re working on getting internet service into the building
We’re completing the scope of work for the electrical upgrades and seeking a licensed electrician
The installation of the exterior lockbox to ensure convenient member access should be complete this weekend
How YOU Can Help
Here’s where the fun really begins — and where we need YOU. In the coming weeks, we’ll need volunteers for a variety of hands-on tasks. Whether you have 20 minutes or a whole afternoon, your help makes a difference:
Choosing which chairs and tables to bring
Sorting and staging items at the old clubhouse
Assisting with packing and stacking ahead of moving day
Helping with antenna take-down and setup
Lending a hand on moving day (loading/unloading the truck)
Unpacking and organizing the new space
Decorating with plaques, photos, monitors, and more
Cleaning equipment and furniture as it arrives
Running coax and installing the patch panel
…and more!
Stay Tuned – Volunteer Opportunities Coming Soon!
Members of the Relocation Committee will be sending out specific volunteer requests via email as each phase of the project begins. Be on the lookout — and please jump in where you can.
This is an exciting chapter in BARC’s history, and your involvement will help shape our new home for years to come. Let’s work together to make this move smooth, fun, and successful!
See you soon — and thank you in advance for being part of the team!
